We love when our clients want to incorporate a piece of family history into their wedding day design. Using a family heirloom is a special way to honor your loved ones. Here are a few of our favorite Karson Butler Events weddings that incorporated family heirlooms:
Our bride Elizabeth carried a fan that has been in her family for four generations. Her great-grandmother, grandmother & mom all carried the same fan on their wedding days. Florist Holly Heider Chapple brilliantly designed a bouquet around this very special heirloom. How amazing, right?! Picture by Connor Studios.
Kirsten decided to wear two strands of pearls - one from her mother and another that her groom gave her. She connected both strands with a beautiful cameo brooch. The look was stunning! Photo by Jodi Miller Photography.
Ali & Sean's wedding was all about family! The reception was held in the bride's parents backyard and a large tree served as a perfect spot to display old family photos. We loved designing this family tree! Photo by Robert Evans.
Melissa's wedding bouquet just might go down as one of our favorite bouquets ever. The stems of her amazing creation by The Enchanted Florist were wrapped in lace and finished with a special brooch. We love this touch! Photo by A. Britton Photography.
And remember, family traditions have to start somewhere! So if you've found a fabulous cake cutting knife, cufflinks or a special jewelry piece with the intention of passing it down to future generations - we say go for it!
