We were honored to help VR Scout create a night of art like none other with LA’s first virtual reality art show. When guests arrived at VICE, they walked into the VR art gallery, a curated collection of some of VR Scout’s favorite virtual art. The gallery featured five outdoor HTC Vive stations with art-centered experiences by some of the top creators in virtual reality. The HTC Vive, which launches this week, provides room-scale presence with precise motion and gesture tracking, allowing guests at the show to move around within these pieces of art and touch them with their hands. A Google Cardboard craft table allowed guests to design their own Cardboard headsets, where they sat down with directors and creators from VICE, Vrse and Google to experience first-hand their artistic expressions in mobile VR. On center stage, a lineup of LA artists painted live in virtual reality using Tilt Brush by Google.
