Heather and Addison were married at Tuckahoe Plantation. Once Thomas Jefferson’s boyhood home, our groom also grew up here and his parents still live and operate the plantation today. This couple had great style, a romantic story (their first date was in Paris!), and are truly two of the nicest people we’ve ever met.
We had so much fun designing a highly personalized celebration. They wanted a large dinner party feel, so we suggested dining under the stars (and we buried a bottle of bourbon to ward off rain in true Southern spirit!) and dancing between courses. It was a magical evening! Beef was brought in from Texas (our bride’s home state), chickens and greens were sourced from right there on the farm. The groom’s mother (a master gardener) arranged all the flowers most of which were grown on property, including herbs used for the “snip & sip” cocktail garnish station.
Heather and Addison’s Tuckahoe Plantation wedding will always go down as one of our favorite weddings, not because of the gracious trust they gave to us to flourish as event designers, but because of the wonderful lifelong friendships we made along the way.
