We're thrilled to have Courtney & Moshe's St. Regis Washington, DC wedding featured on Style Me Pretty today!Courtney's happiness the morning of her wedding literally brought me to tears. I wanted to bottle up her positive energy and sell it to all brides everywhere. I remember thinking "THIS is exactly how you should be on your wedding - glowing, calm, beautiful and HAPPY. Truly happy." Love these two!
We loved designing a super-romantic and classic look for this adorable couple around a color palette of golds, champagnes and blush pinks. No one quite does romantic flowers like Holly Heider Chapple Flowers, and she was the perfect partner to design with. This chuppah was out-of-this-world beautiful. With a structure so fabulous, no one minded that we were indoors because of the rain. We love how a ceremony design can set the tone for what's to come - we're all about first impressions here at Karson Butler Events!
We decided to incorporate a collection of antique mirrored trays and mercury glass. We knew we wanted to use floral to mark our bride & groom chiavaris and Holly suggested this gladiola "sash" technique that she learned from Ariella Chezar. Gorgeous right?! And the bouquets were equally as wonderful - full, lush and textured just how we like them!
Another instrumental vendor in our design plan was calligrapher Michele from Meant To Be Calligraphy. We're always dreaming up new things for Michele and she always gladly accepts our challenges! Our calligraphy escort display on mirror was truly special! Michele also put her magic touch on our table numbers, event signage and our place card plate wrap ribbons – each pre-selected entree type had a different color ribbon as a meal indicator. Little Bit Heart designed our beautiful program booklets.
Vicki Grafton Photography did an incredible job capturing this wedding day and we so enjoyed working with her! As you can see, her work is fantastic! We also can't thank the team at The St. Regis enough for always taking such wonderful care of us and our clients.
Most importantly, we want to thank Courtney & Moshe for giving us the honor of helping with their wedding. These two are perfect examples of what matters in a wedding! They didn't care that it rained on their wedding day, as we had talked well in advance about what our rain plan would be when it came time to make the decision. They didn't pout or feel like it anyway "lessened" their day and because of their attitude and outlook - it didn't. At all. (Our advice- a well thought through plan B that you are equally as happy about can help you eliminate stress in the event of rain! ) Courtney made the decision to truly just be a participant on her wedding day and trust the wonderful vendors on her team. It wasn't that she didn't care about all the details - she did, and we had so much fun leading up to the wedding designing all the wonderful elements - but she actively decided when the time came the week of the wedding she would let go and trust the team. All that was left for her was to enjoy the day. She focused on her new husband, her family and friends - exactly what a wedding is all about. And as a wedding planner, there isn't much more to hope for than just that.
